Carolina Ballester Lopez, PhD Student, and Dr. Thomas Conlon, Postdoc in the research group "Immunopathology of COPD" (Yildirim Lab) at the iLBD/CPC have been honored for their scientific work during the PneumoUpdate 2016 conference.
Carolina Ballester Lopez received the Young Investigator Award from PneumoUpdate for her abstract "A new tool to monitor the development of acute lung injury in mice; X-ray dark-field imaging". Thomas Conlon's oral presentation on "Emphysema susceptibility is modulated by the epigenetic regulator of HMGN5" was highlighted as third best presentation.
13. Pneumologie Update 2016 took place from June 9th to 11th in Igls near Innsbruck, Austria. The conference covers topics ranging from basic to translational and clinical research, molecular medicine and state-of-art diagnostics and therapies in respiratory medicine.
