Grant Writing Challenge 2022: Winners

The winners of this year's Grant Writing Challenge as part of the Advanced Scientific Training Module are

  • Yuexin Chen (Schiller lab), To Transit or Not to Transit (that’s the question) - A deep characterization of potential EMT and/or UJT in staged IPF metaplastic epithelia with 4i method and
  • Lilith Trassl (Fernandez lab), Cytokine fingerprints of malignant pleural effusions as hints to prognosis and etiology?

Each third-year doctoral candidate chose a topic that was related, but not identical with their Ph.D. project and wrote a grant proposal. These proposals were then reviewed by three peers each and by the Research School Faculty (Claudia Staab-Weijnitz, Markus Rehberg, Carola Voss, Theodoros Kapellos). In an Elevator Pitch Meeting, the doctoral candidates presented their ideas.

The winners will be able to order 2000 Euros worth of consumables for their proposed projects, thanks to the DZL, which hereby is gratefully acknowledged.

Congratulations!
